Influence Trust emerged from a deeply personal and transformative experience that profoundly impacted our founder. In 2020, our founder endured a devastating house fire that turned their world completely upside down and altered their life in an irrevocable way. As they navigated the challenging and often overwhelming process of canceling essential services and notifying various companies of their unfortunate situation, each interaction felt cold and impersonal, adding to their already heavy emotional burden. Automated systems and unfeeling bots dominated the customer service landscape, insisting on actions that were no longer relevant or possible, such as restarting modems that had been tragically lost to the flames. Cheerful chatbots offering ill timed "have a happy day" message in the midst of a genuine crisis, failing to provide real support or understanding. They did not care about what I needed, they cared about their stats looking like they responded in a decent time frame to appear engaging. 

In that pivotal moment of profound loss and heartache, our founder arrived at a critical realization: the essential trust that once existed between consumers and businesses had been shattered. Companies were not listening, they lacked the necessary empathy to truly care about their customer, and they were utterly failing to recognize the deeply human experiences and emotions that were behind each transaction.
